The journal maintains a strict policy against any form of unethical copying or plagiarism. Plagiarism is defined as the act of copying significant portions of a manuscript from previously published sources without proper acknowledgment. All manuscripts submitted for publication to AMBEDKAR PATH are checked for plagiarism using iThenticate/Turnitin software.

Plagiarism involves copying someone else’s ideas, processes, results, or words without giving explicit credit to the original author and source. Self-plagiarism occurs when an author reuses substantial parts of their own previously published work without proper citation. This can include submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals or altering a previously published manuscript by adding new data.

If plagiarism is detected during the initial review stage, the manuscript will be immediately rejected and will not be considered for publication. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the Editor-in-Chief will initiate a preliminary investigation, possibly with the assistance of a designated committee.

Should the plagiarism be found to exceed acceptable limits, the journal will notify the author’s institution, college, university, and any relevant funding agencies. The journal will also publish an online statement linked to both the original paper and the plagiarized material, noting the plagiarism and providing a reference to the copied content.

Additionally, the plagiarized paper will be marked with a notation on each page of the PDF. If the extent of the plagiarism is significant, the paper may be formally retracted.
